Source: Bean Girl (Entered by Bryan Sox)
Serves: 4 Cups
Vegan!

Ingredients
3/4 Cup Black Bean Flour
2-1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Tsp Chili Powder
1/4 Tsp Cumin
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Each Lime - Juiced
2 Tbsp Sour Cream (for those not Vegan)
1/2 Cup Salsa

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Boil water in a sauce pan on medium heat. Mix all of the dry ingredients and whisk into the water. Stir 1 minute over medium heat and then reduce to medium-low, cover and cook for 5-7 more minutes stirring occasionally. The mixture should thicken. If not, heat a little longer but make sure the bottom doesn't stick to the pan. Cool, add salsa, sour cream and lime juice. Makes about 4 cups.
  2. For Chips, consider our recipes for wheat or bean chips. Also consider Pita chips at the store lightly salted, lightly sprayed with Olive Oil and browned in the oven.
